St Georges Day again, Are you celebrating?
19. Apr 2010 at 12:02

Well its that time of year again, the ill fated celebration of  England's National Flag.

Me, I'm taking the day off on Friday with some mates and going down to the Fullers Brewery in Chiswick for the day, a few hours getting shown arround the place and then down to the good part of sampling the delights!, should be a good day out me thinks.  Thumbs Up!

See our two local Wetherpubs arn't bothering again, despite doing something for St Patrick's Day and St Andrews, upsets too many people apparently  Angry Angry Angry, but nice to see our local Asian Shop with the flag in the window  Cheesy.

What you up to?, celebrating?

Chris.

ps. anyone that fancies flying the flag, feel free to use mine:-  Thumbs Up!

I am sure if we celebrate it, we will be rascist. And deemed to have offended someone somewhere in the world. So we will have to be prosecuted under nu labor laws.  Grin Grin Grin

Yes I just had to get a dig in about the government.  Thumbs Up!

interestingly, up until the 18th century St Georges day used to be as big a deal as Christmas in England.

then we let you join us and it dwindled  Wink

i don't see why it's not a bigger deal - i'm all for it, no one in their right mind would have a problem with it surely?  Shocked
