hi all, great site.
we have an omega 2.5 and love it also a kit car that one day when we have the time, money and know how would like to put omega running gear in, just got to decide which size engine we can squeeze in. keep up the good work. j |

I have often thought that an Omega would be a good kitcar donor, the 3.0V6 is one of the most compact V6 engines out (being 54deg) plus 210bhp is more than enough for a 7 style car or similar.
Add to that the pretty compact R28 manual box and an LSD rear diff setup and away you go. |

Mines getting a Rover V8.....with a Supra gearbox (the proper one, not the un-reliable 6 speed getrag!)

thanks for the welcome :)
not sure about putting a 3.0 in this kit it is not very heavy and might take off, saying that its got a 2.9 v6 auto in right now and has done all of 80 miles (long story) but it does have to be auto due to footwell space. but one day the seraph will live again. j |

No contest, really. 2 litre or 2.5 TD for economy. and the 3.2 for a real Q car, to surprise the unwary. Oh. And welcome!! B |
