Hallo all,

Just thought I'd pop in here and do the pleasantries thing.

I've just bought a 2000 facelift 3.0 MV6 in silver (ex plod), an absolute bargain I reckon at £1650 with 111k on it. It's super lush and I'm keen to work a bit of magic on it and replace a few bits here and there and learn about keeping it trouble free with some DIY maintenance. Hopefully I've come to the right place, you were recommended.

Oh and I live in south east London.

welcome to the forum, the 3.0 V6 is a nice lump! When were the cam belt and tensioners last changed though .. should be done every 40k or 4 years, whichever comes sooner. Whereabouts in saaarf east London are you?

For Sounds2k and RonaldMcBurger that asked I'm in Plumstead on the border of Welling so yeah not far from Woolwich at all, what made you guess that RonaldMcBurger?

Sounds2k, no I have to say I don't have proof it's had it's cambelt done, I'm told it was at 102k but I have no proof so I'm trying to obtain the service history from the met first before I do anything further.
