i work for red bull f1 team... before that honda f1, before that mitsubishi WRC, before that MG BTCC...

and before that... worked for vauxhall luton plant...!!!

work as an electronics engineer... look after data, code and all that kind of thing...

consider myself very lucky... but it's hard work!!!

Must be fascinating. Do you get to travel about with the team or are you factory based?
I used to have a mate that used to work with the old Brabham F1 team. He used to be the race engineer for Nicola Larini (remember him?) and travelled to all the GP's. He gave it up in the end as he found it so stressful - he said they hardly got any sleep on race weekends and saw very little of the actual races, but said it was a great experience in the few years he did it.

did all of the races @ honda, now doing the testing thing with red bull...

the job's awesome but there's a lot of pressure and a lot of time away so it isn't for everyone...

however i've had some awesome times, seen some amazing things( ;)) and met some great people along the way...

again, thanks for the warm welcome, things like this forum make ownership of my car (aka the shark) all the more enjoyable...
