my car is a 95 omega with V6 2.5 engine.
Can anybody help me where to start, what should be the problem?

When you start you should get, brakelight check, then after pressing the brake pedal the mid should show the problem/s associated with the check light and either clear or cycle thro the faults each time you press the comp stalk.

But if your saying the check light is on and display only shows the stopwatch and doesnt do anything else......it suggests to me the mid is faulty.

Is this whats happening?

Early mids dont state brakelight check, they just show a check light, it should dissappear once the brake pedal is pressed

The controls on the end of the wiper stalk control the coomputer functions and should allow you to scroll through the read outs, is this bit working ok?

Do you have climate control (digital display setup in the centre section above the radio)....if so, what speed does the display go upto?

Early MID - I suspect the C is actually a 0 but you have some dead pixels.  The buttons on wiper stalk flick through functions. The Check just means the system has either detected a problem (problem will be on display), or hasn't tested the brakelights are working (due to brake pedal not being pressed).
