WHY OH WHY!!! i've had my 3.0elite for 4 years and it seams that it's been in the garage being repaired more than on the road.
i love the car, spend endless amounts of money on it.
so why can't i get it to be trouble free atleast for a few months.
i'm at the end of my tether, just drove to cardiff and back today and all of a sunden i got heavy vibrantion from the wheels on the way home . now it's becoming silly were do you draw the line and cut your losses.
i love it , but i haven't got endless pockets?

Welcome to the site :y I know the feeling, spent far more on the car than it was ever going to be worth but i love it to bits :-? Sad i know :D

Take the time to research the how too's and the 'search' function for anything thats a tad obscure. If no luck, post in the general secion and theres loads of peeps with enough experience of the Omega to keep you right. Might take a few minutes, but no doubt someone will chip in!

To be honest, Omega's aren't practical cars to own if you have to rely on garages for stuff.

This is a great forum, and will enable you to many jobs yourself (which are often much easier then garages make out) and you can save a packet.

You are also only about 40 miles from me, so if there's stuff you can't do, there's a good chance I'd be prepared to roll up sleeves and help out :P

Hi Salvo and welcome to the forum :y Yep, know what you mean, I don't have the expertise, tools or time to sort problems out on mine so have to fork out all the time. It does pay to find a decent independant garage if you can.

Greetings, and welcome to the forum. Fixing the Omega isn't difficult with a bit of practise. I just cleaned the breathers out last weekend, with a £10 halfords socket set, a couple of screwdrivers, some paper towels and carb cleaner. For a garage to do that would cost a couple of hours at least. And the dreaded cambelt and tensioner?. Well the parts cost about £70 and its not really that difficult. Best of luck. :y
