Having spent 5 hours changing the bearing on a Clio, I know it's not.

Very useful, good photos, I shall keep it in mind if I have to do mine. reminds me of changing the CV gaiter on the Cavalier, you had to take off the front brake disc, and the wheel bearing nut was also done up to some ridiculous torque, all for the sake of a 10quid rubber bit!. Then some clever person invented one that was split which you could super glue in place ! ;D.

Having seen the master DTM in action, it certainly did look easy, and took 30mins....

Indeed. It took me exactly 30 minutes - to get the dust cap off...  :(

The rest took another 3 hours.  ;D

Anyway, got the other side done today, and it's looking good. Full report to follow....  :y

At this rate I might even get done the camcovers done before the weekend is out!

what happens between removing hub carrier bolts and fitting bearing as there no picture to explain....is there a special way to get old bearing off...got humming on front so think mine need doing.....

Err,and....think mine needs replacing...found the guide before posting a new thread on how to change it :)...noticed picture missing in guide...need to know what missing....simples :)

after removing the caliper & disc & taking off the hub dust cap, undo the centre retaining hub nut & it should pull off. pressume your fitting new hub with bearing complete.

do they only come complete or is the bearing seperate to the hub

would imagine you could get the bearing on its own but i fitted hub complete. :y
