Think I have worked it out so time for a final poll, this time you need to vote according to the gearbox type fitted....
Remember, no keys in the ignition and lights on.....where does the lights on warning come from? |

listened carefully to mine tonight - a 52 plate 3.2 auto elite estate ... and whilst on initial check it appeared to come from the light switch area, in fact it comes from the fuse board - or one of the relays next to it - or very close to that area. Confirmed by opening the fuse box door - the chime then got noticeably louder ...

2002/2003, keys in buzzer (not lights on buzzer) is the bottom left relay in relay box next to fusebox iirc... |

... was definitely the lights-on buzzer as the keys for the padlocks on the lock-up are on the same keyring as car key and were being used to open the locks at the time :) |
