Title: LPG Project - Progress Update 1
Post by Marks DTM Calib on 19. Apr 2007 at 21:26
This is the 3.0 Estate that Laidback66 and I acquired that has a full LPG install on it

Well, officially with SWMBO I am working on the bathroom and have not touched it at all yet......

Right, I need my Car fix!

So, done so far

Rear wiper arm fixed
Rear boot lock stripped, repaired and re-assembled
Ignition lock barrel stripped, cleaned and re-assembled
Check strap repaired and re-fitted (using repair plates)
Drivers door removed and hinge bracket adjusted (slightly bent due to above!)
Drivers door card repaired and ready to refit
Central locking sorted (it would not deadlock)
Both remotes repaired and working

To do

Oil cooler change (main fault!)
Cooling system clean and flush
Cam cover gasket change
Cam belt and tensioner change
Water pump change
Strip and service brakes + change fluid
Dam good clean, cut, polish and wax
Oil and filter(s)

MOT it and move it on.......

So, not done to mcuh yet.....just the odd little job.....when shes not looking  ;D

Oil cooler will be no trouble for you.

When do you expect to make a proper start on it, though I suspect that depends on how well the bathroom is going ;)

A weekends work will see that done I reckon :y.  I know you don't need it, but if you need a spare pair of hands, just let me know.

How do you repair the check strap if it's ripped right out from the door? I thought it had to be welded. Mine has been like that since I bought the car, I've just lived with it and been careful to always hold onto the door when opening it.
