No, the main fault is it needs a wash and vac ;D
So when you've finished the bathroom (or sent her away for a weekend ;D), fancy showing me how to do the check strap repair. And fix my sump bolt. And..... |

I take the doors off to do the check strap.....much easier..... |

I notice on my door strap on the driver's side the bracket on the pillar is starting to come away from the pillar. Just a few cracks around the edge but it's clearly moved a little. Still secure at the moment but I'd be interested in how a repair can best be effected.

well a basic how-2 guide which gives the part numbers for the repair plates can be found here ... although if it's really bad I guess you'd probably need to strip the door completely and weld the repair plates to what's left of the door ...

Have had the desire to learn to weld in the back of my mind for a few years now, but I'm certain that this is not the ideal starter project.
