I've just bought a lovely 2.5 V6 CDX Auto. Just a couple of questions.....

Even if I do a short journey it smells hot ( if that makes sense!!)

There is a slight oil leak from the sort of middle ish of the car, the oil looks like fresh oil and wondered if anyone had any ideas what to start looking at.

The smell under the bonnet is kinda oily ??

This site looks ace and I'm glad to have joined the Omega brotherhood ( or sisterhood ) to be completely politically correct!!.

Welcome,

The leak could be and most probably is the rocker gaskets , same as mine was. The hot smell , is the same problem i am having. If your coolant is a burnt browny colour then it is the HBV valve.

Repost your techie Qs in Omega Help for best response :y, though the oil leak is likely cam gaskets, but could be from the oil pipes to cooler... ...check if plugs wells are filling up with oil (cam gaskets)
