Hi guys, can anyone please give me the part numbers for the following:
* Oil cooler banjo bolts, 2 of * Coolant Bridge Banjo Bolts, 2 of * Coolant Bridge Washers, 4 of * Oil cooler banjo washers, 4 of * Oil cooler sealant Also, what should that little lot cost from the stealer? I have TC. Cheers :) James |

at work so dont have specifics right now, but those darn hollow cooler bolts are quite dear for what they are....£4 odd each :(
And my dealer doesnt stock them they had to order them in :-/ |

A dumb question but why do you change the banjo bolts????? I thought you only need to change the washers :-/

When torquing to 30nm I have often had them snap... hence I only ever fit brand new ones as a matter of course... |

The failure mode as I understand it is that poorly maintained vehicles lose the corrosion protection of the coolant due to insufficient coolant changes and the cooler dies so if the cooler is from a known, well maintained car and doesn't show signs of corrosion it doesn't sound unreasonable to re-use it.
Depends on the balance of the cost of the part against the time required to change it. :-/ Kevin |

I can change them in a couple of hours... I think I'll fit the used one...seeing as I have it... and spend the £100 on a cambelt kit instead.

Remove it from the plate sooner rather than later, its not unusual for the rear cooler thread to strip when the nut is removed rendering the cooler useless (had this happen twice now!)
