Hi,
I bought my S reg Omega (is that promounced Omeega or Omaga?) 2.5 V6 from a friend towards the end of last year. He informed me it had been a former police car. Within days of getting it I had found this forum and looking around I noticed that if it had been a police car it would have had a calibrated speedo. Mine hasn't! I'm hoping I don't find too much else, but no matter I do love her anyway. The only defects so far are two small areas of rust, one above the off-side rear wheel arch and the other at the base of the rear door same side. The near side rear door bump strip is off but in the boot along with several spare light lenses a secong cd charger and radio. Not bad for £750. One thing I have noticed is the engine management chip seems to have been altered. It seems to be a sprint version. Not much top speed (about 110mph) but pure accelaration up to that. I'll be looking into that and will prob change it. It's nice havin that amount of poke, but murder on the fuel consumption. I have got intentions for my baby, wheels, body kit etc so all I can say is watch this space. Regards Bare Clawz |
