2.0 ltr auto have cleaned breather pipes  ( have vacumn on small pipe did not have before) and jet and iacv has gone from stalling all the time to hunting on tick over between 1200 and 2000 revs . so today i renewed iacv but problem still same any body help .

how long ago did you do this?

have you checked to make sure there's no oil in your plug wells? it really shouldn't idle so high

Check all the little vacuum hoses connected to the throttle body; it sounds like one of them may be leaking or disconnected from where it should be going.

check adjustment screw to the throttle cable my have been adjusted to raise tick over for bad tick over,had to back mine off after cleaning idle control valve and breathers on my m reg 2.0 litre :y :y :y

3 hoses on ours.  One at front going toward fuel rail gadget.  One at rear (greyish by torchlight) going to EGR valve, another at rear (black) going to a solenoid valve near dispack  which might be something to do with carbon canister.  :-/

Ours is a manual transmission btw, so may be different.

Ditto here...on mine it was the actual stop on the throttle body (screw with a slot in and a lock nut at the bottom of it; sits horizontally pointing to the front of the car.  Loosen it off, then screw it in until it just makes contact with the arm, then do the locknut back up.
