Title: Battery discharge omega 2.5 CDX
Post by Donald on 26. Oct 2008 at 12:19
Battery suddenly went flat last week, put it on charge and left it in the garage (cycled to work) the battery is good not loosing its charge. Does anyone know what the expected amperage draw should be when this model is parked up, it looks like I am drawing about 0.5 amps, have pulled loads of fuses but no change in draw, still got some to do, but its freezing outside and fingers are numb. Is 0.5 amp draw acceptable or do I have a problem, do not want to get stranded.

No way should it pull 500ma!

I would expect it to be under 100ma! However i've never meausred it on the Omega.

PM MarksDTM... I remember him finding a problem with the timer relays which feed some of the auxilliaries, seem to remember a faulty capacitor causes the relay to remain energised?? which then causes rapid battery drain.
