Hi Arrolman..... I've been looking around on the forum for a while and am really interested in what the chip can do !
Omegatoy seems to be the man, I've noticed his posting,is this one of his chips ? Is it still for sale ?

Hi,

This is one of Omegatoys chips, the one to have. To check if its suitable you have to look at the number of the ECU,on the side of the unit. Last 3 digits should match the chip

I've checked my ECU it says 0281 001 427 ( Bosch) so i'm thinking it's compatible ? If so how do you want to process the transaction? (Please bear in mind i'm more comfortable under the bonnet than in front of the PC !!! )

Hi,

It should fit no problems, however, you might need to get the chip thats fitted de-soldered and the new one soldered in, only some ECU's let you pull and push fit. You can send me the £60 via paypal, PM sent

Yup, thats a 427 :y.

See my guide in Maintenence Guides, check that yours is socketed, else you need to get a socket fitted.

If it helps at all, mine is a 427 and it was socketed. It does appear to be pot luck though  :(
