As if it wasn't already pedestrian enough. ;D

A mate of mine who should know :-X Tells me that you'd do a lot better in a bullet proof Toyota Land Cruiser V8.

Trouble is vamps you can hear them from miles away and they leave little to the imagination when you get a bit closer;)

The armoured saloon vehicle was the most reasonable way of getting into and out of a flagged area without advertising your presence too much ;) ;) 8-) :y

I'm intrigued at that one .....

"restoration project" .....

Now just where do you get parts from... ?? not seen many Chieftain spares counters .. and do they take Trade cards ????

Yep you're right enough there Kevin.  Strangely enough, away from the urban environment - in terms of personnel protection, overall practicality and reliability, the Landcruiser kicks the LR's ass.

LR's were used in the UK theatre, in the civilian application, as a result of so much military inventory being available.  That's not to denigrate the margue.  The LR in all of it's guises was more than up to the task. :y Saved many lives ;) ;) And still does :y
