Title: map of lpg stations Post by chrisgixer on 24. May 2009 at 11:34
any pointers on the best map for lpg filling stations? Have seen tomtom maps, paper maps, and on line maps. Some of the later seem to give varying info. For instance an lpg icon may not be a filling station but a bulk supplyer in industrial unit,no good turning up there at midnight on a late trip home.
Some only seem to show certain fuel stations like shell, but not BP, or for instance 3 lpg stations in the Reading area when others show 6! With the above in mind, do the tomtom maps differentiate between 24 hour filling stations and industrial units? Suspect an old fashioned paper map may be best, anyone with any experience with this? Good or bad? |

Autogas do their own map -- not sure as to the quality though. Have a peek on the LPG forum too.

I have said paper map and I wasn't that impressed. Useful to chuck in the car for emergencies but not that up to date IME. Best bet, if you use a tomtom, is the various free POI files that lurk on the internet IMHO. Some do include off- forecourt and 9-5 weekday only stations but they are indicated as such IME. Kevin |
