Yoghurt works well Ali, cools the skin almost straight away. Try to avoid fruit ones though - those seeds get everywhere . . . . . :y

Still cooking mate --- cold wet towels to cool you down, lots of fluids to drink and a couple of paracetemol (headaches on the way).

Other than regular cold compresses, and moisturising lotion, there isn't much you can do because the damage has already been done.

Oil based products are the worst thing you can use, because they block the pores and can lead to infection. |

I never burn and did have sun cream on :-[ It was in a country estate walled garden so guess it was designed to be a sun trap :o :o :o :o

Calamine Lotion .... smells horrible, looks awful .. but works, cools the skin and helps the body start to repair the damage

On the odd occasion I have suffered sun burn I find a cool bath helps.
Make sure it is not cold, really a few degrees above room temparature, and I just lay in it. I also find this helps just before bed on those hot, clammy, muggy nights where you can't sleep. Please don't go and jump in an ice cold bath as that could be shocking to your system, and potentially fatal. Mike |

A bit late now it's Wednesday but the following really does work as long as it's done as soon as possible.
Get a napkin/handkerchief and soak it in white wine. Wring out so it's not dripping but still wet. Lay it on the affected part and leave it until dry. As the alcohol evaporates it takes the burn heat with it. You will still be red but no burning or tightness |

Definitely skin moisturizing creams..
nearly every half hour for the first 2-3 hours.. then every 2-3 hours.. :y you are a bit late but still the solution works.. ps: yoghurt also works but does the same thing as moisturizers.. |
