Title: Oh dear, he has now started talking about cars!!!! Post by Vamps on 27. May 2009 at 00:12
Youngest stepson poped intothe lounge on his way to bed, just happened to mention...........
http://www.jdgcars.co.uk/1639/stocklist.htm Talked him out of it ::) Mentioned that it is a pity the Mig is an auto, he said it does not matter :o :o :o What group is a 2.0L mig estate auto? I did have a look at the weekend, thing is our Mig, a spare car, is far too good to sell, for what I would get for it, even as a px. Took it out on Saturday, lovely car. ::) |

I wonder if it would actually work out more economical to insure him on the mig than buying and insuring a small car :-? :-? :-? :-?
Somehow I doubt it though ::) ::) ::) |

That's what I am beginning to wonder :-/ We know the car and it is in very good nick, worth what though? £4-800 ish, could buy a load of old rubbish for that, or get a gem, it is a gamble. To late tonight, might run an insurance check tomorrow, put him on mine, my primary car is a lease car so fully insured regardless :y |

Insurance as a named learner driver is probably not going to be too bad.... it's when he passes his test the insurance becomes ridiculous.

The difference between insurance companies is ridiculous.
I am 25, no convictions, 5 years no claims, and clean history. Swiftcover charge me under £400 a year on my V6 Omega, for fully comprehensive (although, I had to talk nicely to them). I am eligible for another company (who I was assured I wouldn't beat) - and they want over £1500 :o and told me it wouldn't be cheaper elsewhere ::) |

Absolutely!! :y I have never, ever, struggled with insurance before - I'm not sure if the economic situation is making it harder :-/ £1900 on a pug is crazy. My first personally owned car, at 18, was a pug 405 1.9, and it was £1100 to insure..... |

you could try directline. they do some good quotes on there and you wont find them on any comparison sites. tesco works out a good price too sometimes!
