Title: Changing Diff Oil Post by rancido64 on 02. Jun 2009 at 08:15
Hey all,
it's about time i changed my diff oil, so i'm just looking for a quick couple of answers: 1)Any specific recommendations for the viscosity? 2)To save me putting the car up on stands only to find i don't have the right tool, can anyone tell me what i need to take out the bung? Is it a hex or something like on the sump nut? :) thanks, Phil |

There is no drain plug, so you will either need to suck it out using an oil extractor or remove the backplate from the diff.
The filler level plug needs a hex key IIRC. Unless you have a LSD that's misbehaving it's sufficient just to top up the oil IMHO. Kevin |
