To leave a 2.2 diesel engine running idle??
Reason why? Ive been leaving it idling between jobs this week.....coz of the heat....it takes a while to get inside temp down if i turn it off.....even tho its got 4 air vents rear....lovely and cold if i leave the engine idling and aircon set on 18C :y
I reckon about £1/hour roughly...but its only a guess :-/

Nope....tells me how long the engine been running...av consumption...but no inst consumption :(

I get 0.2 gals/hr when warm :y

I'd imagine a 2.2 diesal would be about the same ::)

0.3 gallons per hour in our 2.6........about £1.50........

0.2-0.3 gallons per hour here......(1.9 diesel)
