The article implied power prob. Why so long to get generators running :o

a lot more too it than the generators  ;)

was a nice relief not to be woken up overnight will follow up problems :D

so glad i am not on-call anymore, money was good, but crap for a decent night kip!

guess I get woken up approx 5 times a year  :-/  well worth it in my case

When the last company i worked for was being managed right (eg before the Americans bought it) we were always improving core systems, which introduced new elements, every week i was woken up  :(

On the upside when the americans came along, no changes were made to ours while they built there new system so it was nice and quiet  :D

Is this why I couldn't pay any cheques in today?

When I was oncall, it was averaging about 3 callouts a day.  Good money, but bad news if, like me, you're an insomniac  :'(
