Title: It is November, isn't it? Post by STMO123 on 18. Nov 2009 at 19:37
Then why have I got ladybirds all around the house? :o
Before you change that to ladyboys Albs, it's not big and it's not clever ;D :P |

Last winter being mild, and this summer (what summer?) being generally wetter, coupled with another mild, wet winter this year (so far), has led to an explosion of bugs, in particular aphids, which are the ladybirds favourite food; & so they (the ladybirds) have been making 'whoopie' in order to produce enough mouths to feast on the banquet that nature has provided. As the aphids disappear, so will the ladybirds. Seemples :y ;D ;)

As soon as you open a window in this house a load of them stagger out from the gap around the frame. ;D
My loft keeps getting inundated with flies too. Nothing a UV light and a few volts doesn't cure though. ;D Kevin |

Yeah! We've had massive invasions of houseflies, but not in the kitchen - in the bedrooms! I think they're breeding in the ventilators at the top of the windows. There was a warning out that we were going to have an excess of spiders and daddy longlegs, but either they were wrong, or it's yet to come. I hate spiders. :( |

Yeah, we got Veluxs in the loft room and we opened one and it was like a scene from a horror movie with all the flies pouring in. Apparently they find the warmest gaps they can when it starts to get cold. Eeeuuugh >:( |

thinking about this, if there are loads of ladybirds due to loads of aphids, and there are now millions of flies-will there be millions of HUGE fat spiders breeding like flies because of the flies? :-/
