thats not cold.... try Chicago in December, thats cold! -8 ambient, with a -32 wind chill. Its not called the windy city for nothing!

Got back to the UK it was +1, walked into town in a t-shirt. Got some odd looks, more than usual!  ;D

With the imminent.....impending progress of Global warming.........It is likely that ....snowy winters .........could well become a thing of the past... ::) ::) ;)
Let us all hope for some constructive action at the forthcoming Copenhagen Climate Conference::) ::) ;)

ive been playing golf up on top of mount horsenden hill today. was nice and sunny but the wind up top of the hill was bitter cold. as i thrashed the other 2 i dont care  :) :)

The windy city name comes from the reputation of the politicians being very vocal and nothing to do with the weather.

But yes it gets cold there.  I am 4 hours north of Chicago right now and its -6 but thankfully no wind.
