I'm in the same boat, its a game played by 22 men who run up and down a strip of grass chasing a ball to get it between two wooden sticks and then half way through the game change direction to go back to where they started from.Bunch of over payed, over rated and over acting tossers.IMHO. |

all fairly true, but imagine they did well in the competition. Hard i know. Imagine they one a semi final and made the final. Your not telling me you would not watch....?
Your not telling me you would not ride the wave of hope, and sit there and feel the pressure, agony and joy of the ups and downs of the game with those around you. And probably watch all those hopes be dashed on penaltys AGAIN! But just sit and think..... just for a minute.....imagine if they won it! Where will you be? Who will you be with? The country will go mental. If you dont see that side of it, then your dead from the neck down in many peoples eyes....personally i'll enjoy it even more if they shoot that Motson pillock. But each to their own as they say. :-) |

Gotta love these people who do not like the game, but love to berate the game, they still have to have a say with things such as "22 blokes chasing a bag o'wind etc etc " - how many times have we heard that old chesnut? - "bunch of overpaid tossers etc" "rather watch paint dry" BLAH BLAH BLAH. ::) ::) ::)
*YAWN* So unimpressed by all that negativity. Heard it all before, there's nothing new that these moaning windbags come up with is there? LOL!!! I keep thinking that if everyone liked everything the same, that would be TRULY boring! ;) Can England win it this time? Yes they can. Will they win it this time? We'll have to wait and see! :y I'm hoping to go over to SA for a couple of games........... |

England have a nice easy group, but soon as they meet a half decent side they're out - good team, just not that good - Quarters again (unless Germany finish 2nd in their group - in which case last 16 exit) ;)
I'll get my popcorn for the "England to win World Cup" expert punditry - always hilarious ;D I'm quite sure Brazil, Spain, Germany and Portugal will be quaking.....not to mention Holland and Italy....oh and Argentina....crikey - France have a better shout player for player - but good luck - I'm quite sure an injury/red card to Rooney will be the reason you fail again (England are historically the only team to experience loss of personnel in the World Cup) By all means heap unbearable pressure on your players - like its not difficult enough already :o I'll be watching - and before I get the bitter jock comments - I will be supporting England and I'm glad Scotland didn't qualify as we'd only embarrass ourselves....again - at least you guys get to the bit with penalties :y |
