Title: Snow this evening
Post by Matchless on 15. Dec 2009 at 13:22
Snow is forcast for Nottingham tonight or at least cold, wet sleet.
So why does my coilpack decide to die on the way to work this morning? Its not the easiest of jobs on a warm evening but tonight? :(

Garage- Best place for the Omega in sleet and snow.

We had rain that froze and then got a light covering of snow yesterday. Couldn't get up one hill out of the village, had to do a 2 mile detour!  I will have to fill the boot up with heavy stuff again for the winter.

goodluck with the coil pack change.

Varche

PS the gearbox is still working a treat!

I was planing of changing the thermostat, coolant liquid etc, and here it is around 3 degrees and the cold wind is blowing at around 40 km/h wind and with gusts to around 90km/h.

All fixed, and it was just the coil pack, its amazing how much water vapour exits the tail pipe when the cats are having to burn fuel......was half expecting the header tank to be empty and the coil pack to make no difference....

It didnt snow after all.

the last rwd drive i drove in the snow was a Pajero but with 4wd turned on!

im sure the weight on the gas tank helps a lot in the snow on my omega, we had 5 inches of snow last night
was still snowing when i was driving in it for a few hours, its alright on steep hills alongs you dont need to stop!
lucky the gritters down a 2nd trip so the main roads were clear
