Also 'out of curiosity' why do gay men engender so much vitriol and hate as highlighted by the amount of awful derogatory names that have been invented for them.

Somewhere in the world, just about every faction of society has been called names --- not a lot to do with vitriol and hate -- just the way the world is

Didn't say it was --- nor is famine, death and disease but we are stuck with those too.

Not too clever calling those of a low IQ "ignorant scumsuckers" ---- but you managed it!

Yes I realize that and I called Mariah Carey a wailing bint.

Perhaps I was being too sociological in asking originally why.Thinking about why I used the the term bint, I have no real justification.

To answer myself, perhaps it's a innate ancient tribal thing that people who are not as we are are somehow lesser, to be reduced to something lower either by name or action.Almost an instinct because as you point out thats the way of the world for all cultures.

Thanks for pointing out my unjustified use of name-calling.
I respectfully withdraw the term bint--but my heavens does she wail!!!

There isn't - people take the mickey out of anything.

HOWEVER some of the extreme ones do provoke the majority into picking on them - notably Tachell.

Yet why would anyone pick on say Paul O'Grady, he is known as an other side batter occasionally this side yet everybody likes him, no nastyness, no rudeness, why because he doesn't push it on people.

I do not sit there pushing my straightness on everyone, should be the same for everyone.

Thought for the day ......   :)

All this angst and anger about man-on-man ......

but most of you would quite happily watch some woman-on-woman action......

I'll bite,

I despise the man, He made a big scene when he left ITV 3 years ago, how he would rather sweep streets that work for them again...

Who is his new employer to be ... ?

ITV!!!
