Remind me. How does one cry?
I've never seriously fancied any model they made. 9000 came the closest I think. End of an era but at least it may save a better marque from going down the tube. |

If you look at the flip side, you could probably pick up a very nice car on the cheap. I'll be looking for an auto next year and a saab would suit me fine.

I would advise you to steer clear of that engine to be honest lots of issues DPF and EGR's awfully common mind you after 2007 most of them are sorted. |

As LSG1 said, this engine is fitted in a lot of cars and it seems to be giving the same problems in all of them. http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/index.htm?md=1216 What to Watch Out For Owner/Driver feedback welcome. (See pre-facelift entry) 1.9 diesels can be delightful to drive, but give a lot of problems: Failed inlet manifold swirl flaps (and the flaps can beak and be ingested by the engine). Failed EGRs. Choked DPFs. Failed timing belts, often because the waterpump seized. Belt, tensioner, pulleys and waterpump need replacving every 40,000 miles. Failed oil pumps. Failed dual mass flywheels. Failed turbos. |
