Title: Towing Mirrors Wanted
Post by Sethsmate on 19. Dec 2009 at 12:23
I'm looking for a pair of EMUK towing mirrors for my '99 mini-facelift.
Thanks to LFF64, (who's already got a pair), the following ID numbers may help - 111 E1 010426

I don't have or have enver used EMUK mirrors, but I can recommend the Milenco Aero mirrorshttp://www.riverswayleisure.co.uk/acatalog/831595.html
I have a flat mirror on my side & a convex on the passenger side. They fit well no virtually no vibration and the clamp is slim enough that you can still move the car's mirrors while they're fitted.

Friend of mine has some of these EMUK mirrors ... and has complained of vibration from them ... although he does not have an Omega .. he's got a 4X4 thing ...

is their website

I use the aero's like Andy

http://www.milenco.com/mirror-aero.html

and find them really excellent ..no vibration and simple to fit  :)

I would recommend the type like Andy has too. I've got the same ones and they seem very secure and don’t vibrate at speeds upto 80 mph (tested on that new test track that lets you take a caravan on :-X)

Like Andy says, you can still move the Electric mirror like normal too!  :y

I did by some with rubber straps before, but they were crap!  :(

PS Andy : Your link doesn’t work!  ::) ;)   (Andys working link: http://www.riverswayleisure.co.uk/acatalog/831595.html ; ;D)

could save you, and everyone else on the road a lot of trouble by not attaching those darn burger vans to the back of your car  ;D ;D

Standard facelift Omega mirrors are huge in comparison to others, in my mates Punto its like looking into postage stamps for mirrors  ::)

Hehe... I used to think like that till I went away with a mate in his caravan....
Next thing, I go buy one!

Biggest problem is half the old farts that tow them at 3mph everywhere. I dont - I have left cars behind at lights before infact while towing!  ;D

Mirror wise, size isn't the problem really, they dont stick out far enought to see round the caravan - caravan bodies are wider than the Omegam hence bigish blind spot without caravan mirrors.
