Just been out to take some pics in the snow (well stood at the door at least) at it looks like some sod has nicked my Elite roof Aeriel (screw in bit)

IIRC, only difference could be the thread size - but many accessory shops sell adaptors for pennies!

If you never use a car wash,you might want to secure it with some Loctite - 222 will suffice as you can still get it out if needs be (might need molegrips or similar though!!) - otherwise the higher the Loctite number, the harder it gets!
