Title: Windows 7 help please
Post by Entwood on 21. Mar 2010 at 17:03
having a play with windows 7 Ultimate on a spare HD, and it seems quite reasonable in places.. but I do have a few glitches I can't work out ..

Using either Firefox 3.6 or IE 8 ... sites are not storing login details ... I've checked that cookies are enabled,  it has to be a security setting somewhere ...  any ideas anyone ???

Win 7 is not the most intuitive OS to use .. or it could be I'm too used to XP Classic ..  :)

for firefox you need to click on tools, options, security and tick the box for remember passwords.
as for windows 7 it is generally easy to work around once you got used to the new menu style.
lots of little features though.
if you have multiple windows open and you want to minimise all but one "shake" the windows and everything else will minimise.
if you want 2 internet windows open eg oof and ebay drag one to the left and the other to the right and they will resize to appear side by side :y
