Hey guys, being as winter is on its way, i want to take my 17's off so they dont get even more damage (they need a refurb anyway but still) so im looking to see if anyone has any steelies to fit the mig... not really bothered about the size as they will only be for winter use and i intend on wrapping them in studded rubber anyway.

Cheeky i know but, very cheap would be nice or free would be perfect!

EDIT: also within driving distance for pick up as well would be ideal as i just dont trust couriers anymore ::)

Might be wrong, but try Humbucker.....he's got quite a few alloys and steels  IFIRC............

Think I have 5 steel wheels, 15" if I remember. (original on my GLS, before picked up some alloys) 195/65/15 tyres  if I remember right.   :-[

OK next thing is, does anyone know where i can get studded tyres from? again in this sort of area... In fact, are studded tyres even legal in the UK?

Ok so they are legal so long as they are used for what they were meant for.... ie not using studded tyres during the summer

I had them fitted to a car many years ago by a National tyre company, so must be legal......
Had them on a front wheel drive 1600 escort estate, 1983 ish, you could make sparks by spinning the wheels.... ::) ::) ::)
