I haven't done a Paperclip yet, but, I am getting the Enagine light flashing on, usually accompanied by a stumble of the engine (more noticiable at lower revs)... Obviously I am expecting a Code 19 when I do check it, but, was wondering if anyone has any other ideas...

I got '81' when this symptom occurred on one TD.
'Twas No4 injector at fault - hope yours throws up a different code.

doubt very much it will be c,sensor on the td!!!
more likey to be as seth says or dirt in pump sensor high mileage?

140,000ish...

Will try an Itallian tune up, to see if that clears it, but will check for an 81 of the codes first...

Paperclipped for the codes earlier (engine not running) and got...

Code 49 - Glow Device General Error - Glow Plugs knackered
Code 64 - Fuel Quantity Control Out of Range - Engine off???
Code 92 - Cruise Control Circuit Open - Not got cruise control
Code 96 - EGR Valve Out of Range - EGR Blanked (Valve still in place)...

I didn't get either of the codes I was expecting to see, which leaves me at a blank... Can I do a Paperclip test with the engine running???

Yes, but you'll probably just get the same codes up.

just a thought. Has the lift pump filter in the fuel tank ever been cleaned?
