I've got a CK3100 installed via the phone connector in a '98 MFL. It works well enough.

I have 3 Nokia CK-7W kits, even with the cable to connect to the car (in case of the Omegas), none cost me more than £25 delivered from eGay). Omega has a convenient mounting point above passenger kick panel as well. Last one I fitted was to my Elite - start to finish was under 30mins ;) |

If its a prewired car (factory fit GSM aerial on roof), it has a proprietry 16 pin connector taped up above glovebox that provides power, access to in-car mic and audio in/mute to radio |

You don't need any leads to fit a Parrot into the Omega.
Its a straight in line plug. I located the 'blue box' in the passenger footwell behind the glove box You don't need an aerial connection as its a bluetooth kit it works off the phone, there isn't an option/ need for aerial i had the 3100 monochrome:- and later updated to the 3200 colour:- and now have the MKi9200 with full iPod/ iPhone/ MP3 player/ memory card integration Would recommend them as a kit, but would also ensure you have the latest software updates which with the 3100 might mean sending it back to Parrot. Without the updates some newer smart phones have issues |

While you're all on the case,I was given a parrot for Christmas. Will it still plug & play as you describe with the Bose setup in my elite. Or asI expect is it more trouble than it's worth.

It works on the Bose but you should use a telemute lead with balancing transformer for the input. Autoleads p/n 06-109b

Not sure what the Parrot connections are like though as the Autolead is preterminated for Nokia carkits.
If you can solder then it's just a case of chopping off the Nokia plugs and soldering the appropriate wires together from the Parrot loom. The last Parrot loom I saw had ISO radio plugs on which would be a pain on the Omega! |

A Parrot kit will just plug in with the autoleads cable. May need the trafficmaster loom tinkering with if it's not a fully wired one though. |

Title: Re: Parrots Post by Bourne on 04. Jan 2011 at 20:08
Hmmmm...parrot does indeed have iso connectors and my car has no traffic master.Might just be easier to return the parrot and exchange for a nokia kit (especially as I have a Nokia e72).
