Title: Re: Omega 2.5TD Eurostyle Post by Amigo. on 26. Jan 2011 at 20:48
Yeah!!!! Has a mean stance without going over the top. Dropping it on it's knees would spoil the effect completely so please don't. My MV6 has spaced wheels & very tasteful/subtle lowered irmscher red springs at the rear, this is for handling not show.
Looking good!!! 8-) |
Title: Re: Omega 2.5TD Eurostyle Post by omegabsw on 27. Jan 2011 at 00:23

I have a set of exactly the same wheels, what are the specs of your wheels? Here are mine http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1278446776 |
Title: Re: Omega 2.5TD Eurostyle Post by crossy on 27. Jan 2011 at 08:21
Rear pics of the car will be up after the weekend. Yeah dont think I will drop it anymore. Might buckle the back arches on a bumpy road and break my sump again. worse thing about the Diesel is the sump.
Rim Diameter is 18". Tyre Width is 225 on front and 265 on back. And the car is kitted ont with PIRELLI p zero Tyres. :) |

Eurostyle cars have deep dish rims and they are slammed.
All like this http://www.google.ie/images?um=1&hl=en&tbs=isch:1&q=eurostyle+cars&revid=1539048268&sa=X&ei=qG9FTZGmHs6HhQfL3cixAQ&ved=0CDAQ1QIoAA&biw=1138&bih=535 |

Thats a nice looking car croosy got me thinking what i can do with my diesel now :)
Are ya still after some headlight washers? if you are mutantcav might still have a pair as he's breaking a pre facelift :y |
Title: Re: Omega 2.5TD Eurostyle Post by jerry on 01. Feb 2011 at 11:15
looking good!As others have said , think it'll be better still once fogs are on and to lower it any more would be too OTT for my taste (not to mention a bit expensive on the sump department ;D). The spacers look good and the whole thing has that gruntier almost muscle -car look to me without being boyracerish or cartoonish. Nice job :y

I may Do something about the suspension. The car is too springy and the wheels are hitting the arches. What does any1 recommend I do?

I may Do something about the suspension. The car is too springy and the wheels are hitting the arches. What does any1 recommend I do? Tyres are being shredded by the arches???? :(

Roll the arches?
|
Title: Re: Omega 2.5TD Eurostyle Post by omegabsw on 09. Feb 2011 at 03:05
What size tyres you running?
The offset on those rear wheels will be low, mine are ET13 |
Title: Re: Omega 2.5TD Eurostyle Post by crossy on 11. Feb 2011 at 07:44
they are 265 wide. Dish is fairly deep on them
|

Drop down to a 245 and you should have less rubbing |
Title: Re: Omega 2.5TD Eurostyle Post by crossy on 18. Feb 2011 at 09:51
rolling the arches would chip the paint on the arches.
Going down to 245 would help a bit but not enough because the whole rim is out further than the arch and not just the tire. Thinking of putting in these? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HSD-Coilovers-Vauxhall-Monaro-and-Omega-/190352499293 |
Title: Re: Omega 2.5TD Eurostyle Post by omegabsw on 18. Feb 2011 at 12:20
I reckon it would help a hell of a lot, big difference between a 245 and a 265. Even if the wheel stuck out the stretch on the tyre would be enough for it to not catch the arches as much.
The offset on the AZEV's is gonna be low, like ET13 odd low. If you look under the centre caps you shold see it scratched into the metal. |

Not if you heat the paint up :) |
Title: Re: Omega 2.5TD Eurostyle Post by Onkel Per on 18. Feb 2011 at 19:16
The bodykit is a copy of the Steinmetz kit for the pre facelift model.
Steinmetz don't produce the kit anymore :'( . But the copy can be found on eBay. And the quality is like the orginal. Not quit sure about the grill (I have one just like it) |
Title: Re: Omega 2.5TD Eurostyle Post by crossy on 18. Feb 2011 at 20:36
I made one of these arch rollers. So hopefully it works now
