Is there anyway these can be reset as their mechanical?

Just fitted the front seats I've been after and knocked it on installation, typically it was the one with the loose red safety tag  ::)

Also, will Tech2 cancel out the air bag light on the dash? As these seats don't have the side air bags or obviously the gas charged seat belt pre-tensioners.

Dont think the mechanical versions will put the light on, not certain though ? :-/

No they won't Albs, but I'm assuming that because the normal seat pre-tensioners aren't plugged in the ECU is assuming there's a problem... When of course there isn't.

What car have you fitted these to? Your profile says a facelift?

If it is a facelift, you need facelift seats.

Not using facelift seats will reduce the safety features (so you should inform insurance), and lose the seat heating (assuming the seats you fit are minifacelift!)

Sounds like you have fitted pre minifacelift seats, in which case you have entirely disabled the SRS system.  Just a wee bit daft imho.


I'd urge you to consider getting some facelift seats (or mini facelift as a minimum, but no heating or active head restraints), then you can get the airbag light reset :)
