Title: pollen filter
Post by fiend61 on 14. Feb 2011 at 07:17
hi all
does my 99 2.5 mfl require the carbon pollen filter?
it has climate and i recently changed the filter but it was a flimsy white thing (cheap)  and it didnt look like the one i took out, but that one was filthy.
the reason i am asking is that the windscreen has started misting up at the bottom checked scuttle drain and that is clear
tia

Not a requirement........personal choice as to whether you fit one

Its the full facelife that need the carbon filter as they have air quality sensors.

That said, Ive only fitted the carbon ones to our older cars as well, for a few quid more, they may help reduce smells that little bit further.

In your case, I doubt it, seeing as the smell comes from within the car....
