.....above the rear view mirror. do they sell the bulb i need in halfords?

it is a very small bulb.... it says on it: w5w (e1) 2ecb9 - ge 12v

any ideas on what i ask for at halfords?

Place old lamp on hand, show to assistant in Halfords and say ............. 'Can I have one of those please?'  ::) ::) ::) and they will direct you to a stand full of different lamps/bulbs.  ;) ;) ;)

If the back of your courtesy light looks like mine

then ....... No. The lamp/bulb is separate from the black holder.
