Nope, no more silencing needed :)
These are big cars so as loud as they are outside, they are nice and quiet inside. That is, until they are supercharged. Then they just sound like a jet about to take off :D |

The VXR8 is not type-approved for towing so it can't legally be fitted with a tow bar. There's also precious little space for an LPG tank. :( .. and <splutter> Auto? :o Kevin |

Aussies sell towbars so they must be capable. |

Guess they decided they wouldn't sell enough towbars to do the paperwork. Quote:
Petrol tank is behind the back seat. Quote:
Correct - but the Monaro is a bit less of a mobile armchair, so I wouldn't touch an auto one (did they even make one with a porridge pump)? Kevin |

Some great scenery here (not the baldy bloke) and mouth-watering sounds.
Paint it matt black and I'll gladly take one. :-* :-* :-* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8C70ADf-1c |

The VXR8's boot is around 500 litres so not far off the Omega. The small booth with the petrol tank behind the seat is an 05+ model monaro. But no, you cant fit a tow bar - nor should you :) |

Ohh, OK.. So an earlier one might be better in that respect? There didn't seem to be many options for LPG tank fitting. Right behind the seat would have been great... Kevin |

Probably not.. but then if anything happened (accident etc, even not your fault) you can guarantee your insurance company would wash their hands of you.. then the police would probably take notice.. |

Manufacturing without type approval is a big no no, so would have to manufacture a pikey hook from scratch. Plus the bumpers look fairly low on the back. Omega was designed with pikeys in mind, as the drill holes are pre marked and holes already present in cross members etc. Certainly won't be straightforward, as all the geometry and ride hights are worked out in advance on omega. |

It wouldn't get an MOT these days for a start. ;) And, as said, you would be in a world of grief if you had an accident (which is not unknown, towing a great big windbreak behind you). ;) Besides... why? Kevin |

Indeed they do. :y www.holden.com.au. Even the Commodore SS/V Series can be yours with a dealer fitted towbar. 2100kg Tow pack is $1370 aus, Superlift shocks are $600 aus, and should you require one ::) :-X, a nudge bar is $890 aus. All prices fitted, including tax. Must say Hazard yellow might be an understatement. I'd take an SV6 Sportwagon in white with leather. I'll settle for a 280 bhp V6. :-X |
