Well, you car certainly came with a child seat detector system....
Looking further.... I suspect a reconfig with tech2 to tell it you havent got one is one possibility. Replacing the sensor is probably another Maybe just unplugging and replugging would do it. As It will be the Airbag ECU, I guess once it has seen a fault, you wont get rid till you manually delete the code with a reader. |

Yes it is, and it looks like to even test with tech2 needs an enabled child seat. I dont know if the config can be amended to disable it, or if that is even legal :-/ |

IIRC it`s fed from the yellow 20 pin connector with only 2 or 3 wires attached.

You need a code reader to talk to your car to find out what's upsetting it. Once the fault is identified you can begin to sort it. ;) ;) ;) Capt'n Zok in Bolton can talk to your car as can I - as long as I have time to borrow my Dad's laptop. ;) ;) ;) |

If you want definate confirmation, post a pic of this light....we can tell you for definate what it is.
if its airbag related, gotta fix the problem, then use a code reader to clear the fault to turn the light out. If its a child sensor - gawd only knows, we dont have many of those about to play with. As per the others, you know I can plug in and see what the complaint is if you need to. |

as per previous replies it could be anything, it needs a code reader to diagnose. ;) |

yup, standard airbag light.
needs decent code reader tech2, opcom etc to tell you why it was on, and turn off if fault no longer present :y |

Title: Re: Child sensor Post by rossi123 on 14. May 2011 at 21:47
