Title: Fully loaded? Post by Bionic on 17. Apr 2011 at 16:06
V (2000) 3.0 Elite. 70K.
What can I expect fitted as standard because this is described as 'Fully Loaded ex VX Directors car? Will it have more than the Elite I have? Supposed to be 'facelift' too? hopeful? :-/ |

Standard Elite Spec, Rear Blind if a Saloon, Leather, (unless it was option deleted) *maybe* Sat Nav, quite a lot of early facelift suspension tends to be MV6.

Hmmmmmm! The one I have now already has the lot and runs brilliantly and reliably (thanx to DLK doing the heads job), phone, leather, satnav. all electrics, rear blind, aircon, all heated seats, climate control etc so apart from no parking sensors I suppose the so called 'facelift' is nothing but a marketting con of a few cosmetic changes.
I thought some changes were made to the facelift re the displays? Which model/type satnav is probable? :D |

Parking Sensors only introduced around 2002 :y Sat Nav wise its either the Siemens NCDC 2013 or 2015, the CD changer will most likey be mullered! Display wise, either the GID (half height, but higher res display) Might have a CID (Colour Information Display) - Full Colour screen sat Nav, to be honest though its not worth the upgrade if your just after that. |

Reason I am looking at this one is that mine has reached the time when it has to go. Not as able as I was once to do the bits it needs and even though it flew through the test again last month needing nothing done I feel it is time to let it go.

Definite marketing con, the earlier prefacelift interior is much better visually and seems to wear better than the later, presumably cheaper stuff... |

Thanx all - Hope its an earlier one then, the guy I am getting it from says the rears (all leather interior) have been sat on about half a dozen times in total in its 70K life. His words are showroom perfect. Apart from two very small scuffs which look like they will polish out the exterior is the same condition as the interior.
Looks like I have fell onto a brilliant one! Still deciding what to do with the old one though cos its got 11 months test on it and is reliable. just a few bits need attention. I am thinking of driving it down to Southampton to collect the other one and then scrap it down there as an option. Frikkin rail fares are way too much of a rip off and coaches are snail slow! Anyway, if anyone is interested its advertised in the Cars for Sale section. ;D |
