Advise/Suggestion on removing the vacuum pipe from the servo unit .Is any special tools needed or just gentle persuasion?

Yes, just pulls out at the servo end, depress the brake pedal 5 times or so with the engine off to destroy the vaccum in it as that makes it much easier.

If it still won't budge, try pushing it further on rather than pulling it off. Twist at the same time to break its seal, then pull it off once it starts moving.
This is because pulling makes the tube longer and thinner (ie tighter) but pushing makes it shorter and wider. Hot water can soften things up - shouldn't be necessary tho. |
