Title: O2 sensor circuit issue
Post by Delroy47 on 10. May 2011 at 12:51
Newbie on 3rd Omega. I have a problem with my 53 plate omega 2.6 CDX OP-COM has listed these faults:
P0130 - O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
(04) - Present

P0135 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Open (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
(04) - Present

P0135 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
(08) - Present

I have installed new O2 sensor and still get these codes. I have swapped sensor 1 & 2 wires and the fault has changed following the sensor 1 lead does this mean that I need an auto electrician to check wiring/earthing.

I have also received this code but this has been cleared and has not returned: P1700 - Service Vehicle Soon Request from Transmission Control Module
(08) - Not present

No experience what so ever with 02 sensors, but your approach sounds logical to me.

Autobox Oof recomended service period is 60k. Remove two sumps of oil, clean filter, replace gaskits. Top up, run engine, top up to level hole having selected all gears job done.

Then go have a bath. Very messy job. ;D

If the fault moved with the wiring, time to get your meter out ;)

I'd ignore the TCM code for now, see if it returns - though as suggested, no harm in changing ATF

A friend knows an auto electrician will see if I get him to have a look.

Oil and filter were changed when second hand auto box fitted about 10 months ago.
