Hi, is it the first time you have towed for a while or ever with this car?
Mine never misbehaved temp wise till I towed. Turned out to be radiator blocked with years of debris. Needed a good flush |

Might just be something as simple as the hbv(heater bypass valve) . They very commonly fail on Omegas. It is located at the back of the engine under the windscreen scuttle and wiper assembly. Three pipes 3/4 inch approx go into it and a small vacuum pipe. The rubber membrane inside perishes over time. Is the puddle located at the back of the engine? If you use air con that sometimes creates a puddle under the car just to confuse things but is quite normal!
Replacement is fairly straightforward. Use a genuine VX one(maybe £35 to£40). pattern ones don't last. |
