I'd like peoples opinions please. I'm getting tired of sliding out my seat when going round roundabouts. I've seen spaz offer a set lowering car by 40mm. Would these be too stiff an spoil
The ride completely of the elite? If so would MV6 springs be a better opti

IMHO, 40mm is too low, and would have to be unnecessarily stiff. One of the key advantages of RWD is you don't need to spring it so your fillings fall out :y

If your going to drop it by 40mm, change the shockers for ones with a shorter shaft or you will end up bouncing down the road.

A Mv6 setup is a nice compromise  :y

If you realy want to drop it that far, Eibach springs and Bilstien B4 / B6 shocks have been fitted by some on here with great results  :y

No that's just it. I don't wana go that low. I just want to firm it up without wrecking the ride quality.  So would one of the atfer market sets be too stiff compared to the MV6's?
And can anyone vouch for the difference between elite and mv6 feel?

Irmscher Red springs, B4 shocks. Works well once settled in (but a little harsh to start with)

Unfortunately the Red springs are like rocking horse poo so Eibach are (apparently) the next best thing :y

dont.. 20 mm is more than enough..

else you will hit the cats, exhaust in every bump/hole and will have very harsh ride..

I have one of each, although my MV6 is also Irmscher sprung, GM shocked at the front and GM sprung/B4 shocked at rear.

The Elite is not to my liking - although the crappy Michelin tyres don't help - my MV6 is perfect IMHO.

Needless to say, I'm desperately trying to get hold of some Irmscher springs for Elite ::)

Thats funny, swmbo always says i'm cr*p at estimating lengths  ;D ;D

Any spring offering a 30 to 40 mm Drop will offer somewhere in the region of 70 to 80 % of that due to heavy settling of original springs. I have lowered a few cars with 40mm springs and have got 30-35mm drop.

Again the MV6 setup is desirable :y

I was going to comment that although it says 30mm, I've measured one with a 30mm drop and it was more like 25mm lower than mine ::)
