Good evening one and all,can someone put me right.I have a 95 3ltr elite.I want to top up the power assisted steering,and the automatic transmission fluid.According to my owners manual there both dexron iii fluid,which i have.But do i just top up from the reservoir on the passenger side in the engine bay.If so to what level do i fill it,on the little black dipstick.Or am i a dipstick ;D,any help greatly appreciated.Moggy :y

book is wrong.

PAS is Dex2
ATF is Dex3

DEX3 will cause a leak in the PAS system  :y

You'll have to crawl under your car if you want to check or top up the ATF oil. No dip-stick, just a fill/level plug on the side of the gearbox. There's a guide in the 'Maintenance' section  ;)

Hi jimbob,just checked.I have dex 2,if that goes in the black reservoir PAS.Where do i put the dex 3 :-[,for ATF :-/ :y

Thanks Andy b,must learn to type quicker :).So to what level should i top up the pas with dex 2.As for the atf i think its a job for the oof experts,loone or pete :y

There's a 'dip stick' incorporated within the reservoir cap, can't think for the minute how you read it ......... too dark to look now.  :y :y
