Hi!

I'm rebuilding a 2.5 TD engine with almost everything brand new. But I'm looking for a bigger turbo. Is there any turbo that fits right on the stock manifold ?
I'm having a go on fmic and new exhaust as well.
I've heard rumors that the E39 -01 530d turbo fits bolt on... is this true ?

Sorry, not sure.

As the same engine is used in Range Rovers and BMW 525TDS, it may be worth asking owners on those sites if nobody here knows :-/

Thanks for the answer.

For a few hours hard googling, looking at flow charts, adapter sized eg.. I can confirm that the 530d turbo is bolt on, exept for the oil tubes eg.. I'm going to test one to check out what it will do for my omega..

Have you chipped the ecu ?

Gives around 40bhp move over Oe chip with standard turbo ;)
