Interesting, does the evaporator make maintenance there awkwards?

Also this is a mixer system isn't it?

Maintenance!!

Mixer system!!

On the Daimler, the system was checked 1000 miles after the install and again after 12 months, evaporator drained (very little muck in it)

No issues at all, ran like a dream

On this Omega, had the system checked over visually and with a sniffer for leaks, it was fine.

Maintenance - looks like you would have difficulty getting at the back plug

I mounted my ECU on the OS inner wing, just to the left of the alternator.  The EasyJet ecu i have installed is very well geared up for some winter washing, so moisture/rain shouldn't be a problem.

The PCB seemed to have a very thick layer of laquer and the triple rubber seals and rubber jacket oround the connector block seemed to be of high quality.

I have taked zillions of high-quality pics of my installation, each and every step.  Tank/straps, copper pipes, manifold off and drilled on bench, mounting of injectors, pressure reducer and evaporator, not to mention a once over of the inlet manifold and butterfly assy thingy bit!r

Martin, Please email me if you need any for your how-2's, i could ftp the lot if you like???  PM me for email addy.

Cheers
Marc

How much did your LPG conversion cost?

WHich one - the bodged MV6 was 1850 and the DIY was about 100 in bits.

I reckon you can DIY an Omega for a little over £800 using a Romano System N SGI

Is it Easy to DIY convert a 3.0 V6 omega?

I'd rather do that than a cambelt!

Moderate I suppose. If you can service your car and are not afraid to drill holes I suppose it is.

All V6s use the same kit.

£800 to £900 - do you have a towbar?

Martin do you know what is involved to service a Tartarini system? It's got the newer type vapouriser with the black top, supposedly more reliable than the silver (metal?) top one. I can get some photos later if need be.

Cheers.

I'd ask on the Yahoo LPG forum but usually take pipes off and pour out heavy ends is suggested.

Apart from that - fit a new diaphram.

Thanks. I assume it's the gas pipes that supply the injectors, rather than the liquid fuel or coolant pipes?

I expect the diaphragm is OK on this one, as the whole vapouriser was changed not long before I bought the car for the uprated type, the original one is known for developing problems over time. These ones are supposed to be quite reliable. If it's cheap and easy I may replace it anyway, but I have no idea what's involved.
