driving last night(it got worse) and recently i have noticed, when at low speeds and particulary when applying the brake a clonk from the front end,but only when im going over a speed bump/kerb to my drive, you know low humps..
i can not replicate this sound by shaking the wheel back and forth on the driveway,or by bouncing on the suspension, could it possibly be bushes etc around the front suspension??? i had this prob on an old astra and found it was the bushes needed replacing, thats all! so hopefully it could only be that not much moore else?????
anyone got any experiences with bushes wearing???

I used to get this on my saloon and all was cured after I replced the wishbones but it could also be anti-rollbar bushes. IMHO, don't bother replacing the bushes in the wishbones, they're an ar5e to get out and in and from what I have been told, have a tendancy to pop out again.

Wishbone buses or antroll bar drop links.

The bushes can be replaced if you have the correct tools (which I have) and is the prefered option as the aftermarket wishbones seem to have poor quality bushes fitted to them.
